Veteran actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik breathed his last today at the age of 66 due to a heart attack. As per the media reports, his health suddenly deteriorated while he was travelling in his car to meet someone in Delhi. Kaushik died of a heart attack on the way to the hospital. His tragic demise has sent shockwaves across the entire film fraternity. A day before his death, Satish attended a Holi party hosted by Javed Akhtar and his wife Shabana Azmi at their home in Mumbai.

In the pictures, Satish could be seen smiling and posing with the newly married couple Richa Chadda- Ali Fazal, Javed Akhtar and Mahima Chaudhry. The news of Satish’s demise has left entire Bollywood heartbroken and numb as rich tributes are pouring in for the actor on social media. Kangana Ranaut, Manoj Bajpayee, Subhash Ghai, Anupam Kher, and Madhur Bhandarkar among others mourned the sad demise of Satish.

Satish’s dear friend Anupam Kher shared a black-and-white photo of him and  Satish and captioned it, “I know "death is the ultimate truth of this world!" But I never thought in my dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend Satish Kaushik while alive. Such a sudden full stop on friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti! (broken heart emojis).”

In his career spanning nearly three decades, Satish Kaushik donned many hats that of an actor, director, producer, comedian, and screenwriter. He was best known for his roles in films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Mr India, Deewana Mastana, and Udta Punjab.
